Many clients ask me, ‘Bev, what do you think is the best facial treatment?’ Is there such a thing? I don’t believe so, but some are indeed better than others!
There are, and probably will always be, treatment ‘crazes’, being sparked by celebrities or social media influencers, which (forgive me) often makes me roll my eyes a little. However, just because a celebrity or influencer tells us ‘this treatment is amazing’ doesn’t automatically make it suitable for your skin.
A few years ago, a particular celebrity started promoting the Collagen Wave treatment, and I had over 100 phone calls that week just asking if I provided that treatment! I felt like a celebrity in the popularity stakes, myself.
My skin treatments will always be decided upon how the skin is presenting at your appointment, never on treatment hype. I rarely suggest a treatment a few weeks or a month before I see you unless we’ve discussed a course of treatment for a specific skin concern. That is slightly different.
Skin changes consistently and continually, suggesting a skin treatment weeks in advance is too challenging to determine. My bespoke facials are designed specifically for you and your skin concerns. I have worked this way for more than ten years. It also creates a little excitement, as you don’t always know what you will have, even when on my couch! I work hard to give you the results you wish for whilst you go into a world of relaxation and calmness. IT WORKS! It must, considering the majority of my clients are still with me since the day I opened The Beauty Bistro many years ago.
