Where Expert Assessment Shapes Your Skin Treatment Plan
New Client Skin Consultation and Analysis – £65 – 45 minutes
A professional skin consultation in Southampton is the starting point for understanding your skin, identifying your concerns and determining the most appropriate approach to treatment and home skincare. My consultations combine professional skin assessment with advanced skin analysis, allowing me to build a detailed picture of your skin and its individual needs.
Before Your Consultation
When you book an in-clinic skin consultation, you will be emailed an in-depth consultation form to complete and electronically return before your appointment.
The form allows me to gather important information about your skin concerns, current skincare routine, previous treatments, lifestyle and other relevant factors that may be influencing your skin. Completing this in advance also means that I can review the information before you arrive, allowing us to make the best use of your consultation time.
Your In-Clinic Skin Assessment
At the beginning of your appointment, we will go through your completed consultation form together. This gives you the opportunity to discuss your concerns in greater detail and allows me to explore any areas of your consultation history that may be relevant to your skin. I will then carry out a professional visual and hands-on assessment of your skin. Looking at and feeling the skin is an important part of the consultation, allowing me to assess characteristics such as texture, hydration, oiliness, elasticity and overall skin condition that cannot be fully understood through imaging alone. This combination of consultation history, visual examination and touch gives me a much more complete understanding of how your skin is presenting before I consider the findings from advanced skin imaging.
Advanced 3D Skin Analysis in Southampton
Following my professional assessment, I use advanced 3D skin analysis to examine and record your skin in greater detail. Powered by AI-driven analysis and 36-million-pixel ultra-HD imaging, the system captures highly detailed images of the skin within seconds. It evaluates 14 key skin parameters, including hydration, texture, pores, bacteria, inflammation, wrinkles, sensitivity, pigmentation, UV damage and overall tone uniformity.
Multi-spectrum imaging can reveal characteristics that may not be readily visible under normal lighting, providing additional information to support my professional assessment. Each scan produces a detailed visual report with measurable data, providing a useful baseline from which your skin can be monitored. Future scans can then be compared with your original analysis to help assess changes in the skin and monitor progress over time. The technology is an additional assessment and monitoring tool rather than a replacement for professional judgement. Its findings are considered alongside everything I have learned from your consultation form, our discussion and my physical assessment of your skin. This advanced skin analysis is carried out during your consultation at my clinic in Hedge End, Southampton.
Your Personalised Treatment and Home Skincare Plan
Once your assessment is complete, I will explain my findings and discuss the treatment options I consider most appropriate for your skin. There is no standard treatment programme following a consultation. Recommendations are made individually and may involve a particular treatment approach, a combination of different modalities over time or a longer-term skin management plan, depending on your skin condition, concerns, tolerance and objectives.
Professional home skincare is a fundamental part of your skin treatment plan. Following your assessment, I will recommend a personalised skincare routine selected according to your skin’s condition, concerns and individual requirements. The products you use every day work alongside your professional treatments, supporting the skin between appointments and helping to maintain and progress the results we are working towards.
Your treatment plan and home skincare are therefore considered together rather than as separate elements. Both will be reviewed and adjusted as your skin changes, ensuring that your routine continues to support the objectives identified during your consultation. My aim is for you to leave your consultation with a clearer understanding of your skin, the factors that may be influencing it and a considered plan for how I recommend moving forward.
Online Skin Consultaion Via Zoom – £50 – 30 minutes
If you need professional advice about your skin but are unable to visit The Beauty Bistro in person, my Zoom Skin Consultation gives you the opportunity to discuss your concerns with me from wherever you are. This consultation is particularly suited to clients who would like help understanding what their skin needs, are confused by the products they are currently using, have a specific skin concern they would like guidance with, or need help establishing an effective professional skincare routine.
Before our appointment, I will send you a consultation form to complete and electronically return. This gives me useful background information about your skin, current products and the concerns you would most like to address. During our Zoom appointment, we will discuss your skin in detail. I will review your existing skincare routine, identify where changes may be beneficial and explain the approach I recommend for your individual concerns.
A key part of the consultation is establishing the correct home skincare. I will recommend a personalised professional skincare routine, explaining what I have selected and why each product has been recommended. Upon purchase, I will also provide clear guidance on how each product should be introduced and used correctly. My aim is to give you a clear, manageable routine in which every product has a purpose and is appropriate for your skin. As this is a remote consultation, recommendations are based on the information you provide, our discussion and what can reasonably be assessed by video.
General Treatment Consultation – £50 – 30 minutes
If you would like to discuss a treatment, concern or area before deciding whether to proceed, a General Treatment Consultation provides dedicated time to talk through your options with me. This consultation is suitable for clients who have questions about a particular treatment, would like me to assess an area before booking, are unsure whether a treatment is appropriate for them, or would simply prefer to discuss their concerns with me in person before making a decision.
During your appointment, I will visually assess the treatment area and, where appropriate, carry out a hands-on assessment. We will discuss what you would like to achieve and I will explain the treatment options I consider suitable. I will also talk you through what the treatment involves, expected outcomes, any relevant limitations, potential risks, recovery or aftercare, and whether a course of treatment may be recommended. If I do not consider a treatment appropriate, or believe that further medical assessment is required before proceeding, I will explain this during your consultation. This is a general treatment consultation and does not include the comprehensive skin assessment, 3D skin analysis or personalised home skincare planning provided as part of my New Client Skin Consultation and Analysis.
