Where Lymphatic Circulation Is Stimulated and Fluid Balance Restored

Pressotherapy is a mechanical lymphatic drainage treatment that uses controlled air compression to stimulate lymphatic and venous circulation. The treatment is delivered through a specialised garment containing inflatable chambers that rhythmically inflate and deflate in sequence. This creates a wave-like compression pattern that gently massages the limbs or the body, encouraging lymphatic fluid to move and supporting healthy circulatory function.

The lymphatic system plays an important role in maintaining fluid balance by transporting excess interstitial fluid away from the tissues. When lymphatic circulation becomes sluggish, fluid can accumulate, leading to swelling, bloating, or a sensation of heaviness in the limbs. Sequential compression stimulates lymphatic flow and helps move excess fluid through the lymphatic vessels, supporting improved fluid balance within the tissues.

As fluid retention and tissue congestion decrease, clients often notice reduced swelling, improved comfort, and a lighter feeling in the treated areas, particularly in the legs. The treatment also supports venous circulation, helping to relieve sensations of fatigue or heaviness in the lower limbs. Improved circulation and fluid movement within the tissues contribute to smoother skin texture and reduced puffiness in areas affected by fluid retention.

Pressotherapy is a non-invasive treatment that is well-tolerated and comfortable. The rhythmic compression creates a relaxing sensation while the body experiences gentle mechanical stimulation of the lymphatic and circulatory systems.

Each treatment session lasts thirty minutes and can be performed as an individual treatment or as part of a course, depending on your needs. Regular treatments help support healthy fluid balance, reduce tissue congestion and maintain comfort in areas affected by fluid retention. Pressotherapy is widely used as a supportive therapy for individuals experiencing fluid retention, tired or heavy legs and tissue congestion, and can also complement aesthetic or wellness treatments that benefit from improved lymphatic circulation.

A course of 10 to 15 treatments is recommended to support optimal lymphatic circulation. Treatments are performed once or twice per week during the initial phase, followed by maintenance sessions to support ongoing fluid balance and circulatory health.
