How much Balance Oil do I need to take each day?

You need to take 0.15ml per kg per day. So the calculation is your weight in kg x 0.15, which will give you the amount of your daily serving.

As two examples below:

A 9-stone person is approximately 57 kg. Using Zinzino’s guideline of 0.15 ml per kg per day is, your weight of 57kg × 0.15 = 8.55 ml per day. So your recommended daily dose would be around 8.5–9 ml of Balance Oil.

A 13-stone person is approx 83 kg. Using the Zinzino guideline of 0.15 ml per kg of body weight per day =  83 × 0.15 = 12.45 ml per day. So your recommended daily dose is around 12–12.5 ml of Balance Oil (just under a full tablespoon).

A 12 ml serving contains 1,283 mg EPA and 150mg of DPA.

Here are some simple ways to take Zinzino Balance Oil:

1. Take it with food – having your dose with breakfast or your main meal helps digestion.

2. Mix it into something cold – stir into yoghurt, kefir, juice or a smoothie; the flavour blends in well, especially with the Orange Lemon Mint flavour. Drizzle it directly over salad, or whisk it with balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, or herbs to make a light dressing.

3. Keep it chilled – store the bottle in the fridge after opening. Cold oil tastes fresher.

4. Split the dose – if you’re on a higher daily amount (e.g. 12 ml), you could take half in the morning and half in the evening.

5. Use a spoon straight away – don’t let it sit in your mouth; swallow promptly to minimise any aftertaste.

Storage: Keep unopened bottles in a cool, dry, and dark place at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Once opened, always store the bottle in the refrigerator and consume within 45 days. At temperatures below 4 °C the olive oil may naturally solidify and cause the oil to appear cloudy, but it will return to clear once brought back to room temperature.
