 Why Your Omega-6:3 Ratio Matters

Your body needs both Omega-3 and Omega-6 fats to stay healthy, but balance is everything. Omega-3s calm and protect, while too much Omega-6 can trigger inflammation when left unchecked.

In today’s modern diet, most people get far too much Omega-6 from processed foods and vegetable oils, and not nearly enough Omega-3 from sources like oily fish, chia, or flax. This can tip the body out of balance, making it harder to fight inflammation and putting long-term health at risk.

A healthy Omega-6:3 ratio is around 3:1 or lower, yet many people today test at 15:1 or higher. Restoring balance helps your body work at its best, supporting your heart, brain, skin, joints, and immune system while keeping inflammation under control.

How to Take Your Zinzino Balance Test

1. Prepare
   Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water, rinse well, and dry them.

2. Get your Zinzino Balance Test card ready
   Remove the sample card from its envelope (keep the envelope for later). Tear off the “SAVE” section of the card and take a photo of your test ID. You’ll need this code to view your results online. Place the sample card on a flat surface with the two circles facing upwards.

3. Encourage blood flow
   Swing your arm in big circles or shake your hand downwards for about 20 seconds.

4. Use the lancet
   Take out the single-use lancet and remove the safety cap. Clean the tip of your finger with the alcohol wipe (middle finger is recommended). Place the lancet against the lower part of your fingertip and press until you hear a click. The lancet will automatically make a small, quick prick.

5. Collect your sample
   Without touching the filter paper, gently squeeze your finger until a drop of blood falls into one of the circles. If one drop doesn’t cover it, apply another drop immediately. Repeat for the second circle. Leave the Zinzino Balance Test sample card flat at room temperature for at least 10 minutes to dry.

6. Pack your sample
   Once dry, place the card back into the paper envelope. Then put the envelope inside the silver metal bag (leave the desiccant packet inside) and seal it.

7. Send to the lab
   Place the sealed metal bag into the large return envelope with the laboratory address. Add the correct postage before mailing your Zinzino Balance Test.

8. Register your test
   Go to www.zinzinotest.com and register your test ID. Your results will be available there in about 10–20 days.

Important: Keep the “SAVE” part of your card. You will only be able to access your results with your anonymous test ID.
