Where Photobiomodulation Technology Restores Skin Vitality

Dermalux Tri-Wave LED light therapy is an award-winning, clinically validated, non-invasive treatment designed to optimise skin function through therapeutic light energy. Widely used within aesthetic and dermatological practice, LED phototherapy supports cellular repair, reduces inflammation and enhances regenerative activity without causing tissue trauma or downtime.

The treatment works through photobiomodulation, a process in which specific wavelengths of light are absorbed by skin cells and converted into usable cellular energy. This increased cellular energy supports normal repair mechanisms, improves resilience and enhances overall tissue performance. Rather than forcing change, Dermalux helps the skin function more efficiently at the cellular level.

Dermalux Tri-Wave LED light therapy utilises three clinically proven wavelengths delivered either individually or in combination, depending on treatment objectives. Red light stimulates fibroblast activity associated with collagen and elastin support, contributing to improved firmness, smoother texture and enhanced structural integrity. Blue light provides antibacterial action by targeting acne-causing bacteria within the skin, helping to reduce active breakouts and regulate congestion. Near-infrared light penetrates more deeply to calm inflammation, accelerate healing and support recovery within compromised or sensitised tissue.

This multi-wavelength approach allows Dermalux LED phototherapy to assist in the management of acne, redness-prone or reactive skin, environmentally damaged skin and impaired barrier function. By helping to regulate inflammatory pathways and support tissue repair, treatment can visibly reduce redness, improve comfort and restore balance within the skin.

Dermalux Tri-Wave LED light therapy plays an important role in corrective skin programmes. Following procedures such as microneedling, resurfacing treatments or regenerative protocols, LED therapy supports recovery by reducing inflammation and encouraging efficient healing responses. This may minimise downtime while optimising treatment outcomes.

Because the treatment stimulates biological activity without disrupting the skin barrier, it is suitable both as a standalone skin health treatment and as an integrated component of advanced treatment planning. Regular sessions contribute to improved clarity, strengthened barrier function and enhanced long-term skin resilience.

Treatment intervals and progression are discussed during consultation to ensure appropriate planning according to your skin presentation and objectives.

Treatment is comfortable and pain-free, with no recovery period required. Skin commonly appears calmer, brighter, and more balanced immediately following treatment, with cumulative improvements developing over time through consistent sessions.

Advanced regenerative phototherapy powered by Fluorescent Light Energy

Lumixa is an advanced phototherapy treatment that combines a topical photoconverter gel with Dermalux® Tri-Wave LED technology to enhance cellular stimulation within the skin. The treatment utilises patented Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE) technology to support skin repair processes, reduce inflammation and promote regeneration through non-invasive light activation.

The procedure begins with the application of a specialised Lumixa gel to the skin surface. When exposed to blue LED light from the Dermalux system, the gel converts the incoming light into fluorescent light at multiple wavelengths. This process, known as photoconversion, allows a broader spectrum of therapeutic light energy to interact with the skin compared with LED exposure alone.

The fluorescent light generated during treatment produces a photobiomodulation response within skin tissue. Photobiomodulation describes the absorption of light energy by cells, supporting normal cellular activity involved in repair, regeneration and inflammatory regulation. These processes contribute to improved skin recovery, enhanced tissue resilience and optimisation of overall skin function.

Lumixa supports biological activity in both the epidermal and superficial dermal layers while maintaining barrier integrity. Light energy is delivered in controlled pulses, enabling efficient cellular interactions while limiting excessive surface heating.

Fluorescent Light Energy technology has been investigated within dermatological research settings for its ability to support tissue repair and modulate inflammatory responses. In aesthetic skin practice, Lumixa is used to support regeneration, improve skin quality, and enhance recovery following corrective procedures.

Treatment contributes to improvement in skin clarity, tone uniformity and overall texture as cellular repair mechanisms are supported. The calming effect of photobiomodulation also makes Lumixa suitable for skin presenting with redness, sensitivity or post-procedure inflammation where controlled recovery support is beneficial.

Lumixa is commonly delivered in combination with Dermalux LED phototherapy, allowing the LED device to activate the fluorescent response while simultaneously providing therapeutic wavelength exposure. This combined approach enhances overall phototherapy delivery within a controlled and non-invasive treatment environment.

The treatment is comfortable and requires no downtime. Skin often appears calmer and more luminous following treatment, with progressive improvement developing as regenerative processes continue in the days and weeks following exposure.

Lumixa Fluorescent Light Therapy and Dermalux LED phototherapy do not emit ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The treatment utilises visible therapeutic light wavelengths only and does not expose the skin to UV rays associated with sun damage or premature ageing. As no ultraviolet light is produced, the treatment does not increase photosensitivity or contribute to DNA damage in the skin, making it a safe, non-invasive option when delivered under my professional guidance.
