I’m a passionate and dedicated, award-winning skin specialist and advanced bespoke facialist based in Southampton. For more than fifteen years, I’ve specialised in supporting and transforming women’s skin health through personalised, results-driven treatments. My approach blends advanced skin science with a profound understanding of the skin’s natural function, enabling clients to achieve long-term, sustainable skin confidence.
I haven’t always been a skin specialist (before I came into this industry, I was a general manager for twelve years in industrial valve manufacturing, which took me all over the world, visiting some of the most advanced water treatment plants and nuclear power stations in the world, but I’ve been passionate about skin all my life. After suffering with rosacea for as many years as I can remember and trying every single skincare product in the high street to no avail, in my late thirties (I know I left that a little late!), I knew I wanted, and needed, to understand my skin and try to control my rosacea without even trying prescription medication. I know first-hand how skin conditions can strip you of your confidence and self-esteem. I have probably spent thousands of pounds on green foundations over the years… but not anymore. In fact, I haven’t touched a green foundation for 14 years. I don’t use foundation at all on a weekly basis these days.
….so, that is how my story began, how I came to be a skin specialist….and how The Beauty Bistro was born.
I attended a private college to gain my Level 3 qualifications in anatomy and physiology, and then more recently progressed to ProQual Level 6 in Aesthetic Practice. As a result, I now have in excess of 50 certificates in performing advanced skin treatments, brand training, professional skincare, and multiple advanced skin courses, and I still learn more every day.
My real passion (apart from sweets! OK, I know I shouldn’t say that, but the struggle is real!) is reversing acute skin conditions. Providing my clients with results and the freedom to build back their confidence and to have healthy, youthful skin is one of the main reasons I am so dedicated to my career. Many of my clients travel to me from miles around so I can successfully treat their skin concerns and conditions. It doesn’t stop there either; I have great relationships with clients that I don’t treat through my nationwide online skin consultation, which over the years has become extremely popular and has been a massive lifeline for anyone with acute or problematic skin conditions or even for those that just wish to change their skincare and require ongoing guidance and support.
I treat from a discreet, dedicated home skin clinic located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Hedge End, Southampton, complete with air conditioning for the summer and a warm cosy heated bed for the winter months. Off-street parking on the drive is available, or there is plenty of free unrestricted parking in the cul-de-sac.
I am fully insured, and am registered with Eastleigh Borough Council for advanced skin treatments and hold a 5* hygiene rating for the sale of food supplements.
The clinic is strictly by appointment only and is dedicated to female clients.
Here are a few extra fun facts about me that only a few people know. I LOVE anything to do with the water. I am a qualified Captain and can charter motorised vessels in international waters (not cruise ships, though!). I have a City & Guilds qualification in floristry and level 4 AAT (the association of accounting technicians), and I have a huge passion for guinea pigs and hamsters. One day I would like to start my own small animal rescue centre but for now….. it’s all about skin.
